Make sure you're on the real MotePay — not a lookalike

Fake sites are one of crypto's oldest tricks: a page that looks exactly like the real thing, on a domain that's off by one letter — "m0tepay", an extra word, a different ending. Type your password in, and it's gone.
How to never fall for it:
- Bookmark the official site and always open it from the bookmark — never from a search ad, a DM, or a link in an email.
- Check the address bar letter by letter before you log in. Lookalikes rely on you glancing, not reading.
- Be extra wary of "urgent" links and "you must verify now" messages. Real security never works by rushing you.
- No login page should ever ask for your seed phrase or private key. If one does, it's fake — leave.
One careful look at the URL beats any amount of cleanup afterward. Make the bookmark habit now.
