Hi everyone β€” welcome to the official MotePay community. First, about CoinPal. CoinPal’s hosted custodial service has been suspended. The reason is a shift in the external regulatory environment, with compliance pressure continuing to mount β€” this is a reality the whole industry is facing, not just one company. We could have pushed through it. But when we stopped to take stock, we realized something more important: The problem isn’t just the pressure β€” it’s the custodial model itself. Custody means the platform has to hold users’ funds, which makes the platform the most fragile link in the chain: when the platform is under pressure, your money is under pressure too. No matter how hard a platform works, that structural risk never goes away. That’s why we’re building MotePay. MotePay is a self-custody crypto payment solution: your keys stay in your hands, and we can’t touch your funds. Your money no longer depends on any platform’s survival β€” including ours. Where we are now: The product is still in development and has not launched yet. Every update and release note will be posted here first. We opened this community early so that the people following us have a direct line to us. It’s quiet in here right now β€” which means anything you say today carries far more weight than it will later. Got thoughts or questions? Just reply for this topic β€” The MotePay Team

Getting paid is half the job. The other half is knowing, cleanly, what came in and matching it to the right order β€” especially at volume, and especially with crypto where you don't want to squint at block explorers all day. It's a real part of what we're building: A clear record of every payment received β€” amount, when, which order. Matching that's easy to eyeball, so "did order #1043 actually get paid?" takes a glance, not a hunt. Because it's self-custody, the record is anchored to what actually happened on-chain β€” you can trust it and verify it. Good reconciliation is quiet when it works and painful when it's missing. We'd rather you never think about it. What does your current month-end look like? What would make it painless?

Fake sites are one of crypto's oldest tricks: a page that looks exactly like the real thing, on a domain that's off by one letter β€” "m0tepay", an extra word, a different ending. Type your password in, and it's gone. How to never fall for it: Bookmark the official site and always open it from the bookmark β€” never from a search ad, a DM, or a link in an email. Check the address bar letter by letter before you log in. Lookalikes rely on you glancing, not reading. Be extra wary of "urgent" links and "you must verify now" messages. Real security never works by rushing you. No login page should ever ask for your seed phrase or private key. If one does, it's fake β€” leave. One careful look at the URL beats any amount of cleanup afterward. Make the bookmark habit now.

There's no single "right" way to accept crypto β€” it depends on how you sell. The common options: Payment link. You generate a link (or QR), send it to a customer, they pay. Zero setup, great for invoices, chat sales, one-offs. Hosted checkout page. A ready-made payment page you point customers to. Good for a store or repeatable orders, no coding. API integration. Wire payments straight into your own website or app. The most control, needs a bit of dev work. Most merchants start with a link or checkout page and add the API later if they need it. You don't have to decide everything now β€” just know the shapes so you can pick fast. Which one sounds like your setup? Tell us β€” it helps us make the right one smooth first.

Let's swap war stories. Every merchant has one β€” the payment that went sideways and stuck with you. Funds frozen right when you needed them? A chargeback weeks after you'd shipped? A payout that "processed" but never arrived? A platform that changed the rules β€” or vanished β€” with your money on it? Share yours below. Partly it's therapy, partly it's genuinely useful: the worst experiences are the clearest map of what a payment tool should never do to you. We're reading.

Welcome β€” this board is for anything CoinPal-related. About your funds (most important): CoinPal balances are fully available for withdrawal, and most have already been processed. If you've already withdrawn, you're all set. If you haven't yet β€” or a withdrawal ran into a problem β€” post here and we'll help you get it sorted. How to post Click "New Topic" and describe your issue as clearly as you can β€” what happened, and roughly when. If it helps, include the email tied to your CoinPal account. Please stay safe Never share your private key, seed/recovery phrase, password, or full card number β€” not here, not in private messages, not anywhere. No one from MotePay or CoinPal will ever ask for them. We will never message you first or send you a "special link" to withdraw or "recover" your funds. Anyone who does is a scammer β€” ignore and report them. Only trust official staff accounts and pinned posts. We read every post here. Thanks for your patience while we work through them. β€” The MotePay Team
